How we handle
your information

Designer Rug House (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Quantum Creations Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit designerrughouse.com, place an order, request a custom commission, or contact us — and what we do with that information.

Using the site means you agree to the collection and use of information described here. If anything is unclear, write to us at designerhouseandcrafts@gmail.com and we’ll explain.

We collect only what we need to fulfil your order and run the business:

• Order & contact information — your name, email address, shipping address, phone number (optional), and the items in your order.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive a Stripe payment-intent identifier and the last four digits for reconciliation.
• Custom-order content — for custom rugs, design previews, and custom t-shirts you may upload sketches, photos, or design files. We treat these as confidential references for fulfilling your commission.
• Communications — emails you send us, plus the transactional emails we send you (order confirmations, status updates, refund notices).
• Technical information — standard server logs (IP address, browser, time of request) captured by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking scripts.

We use the information above to:

• process your order, take payment, and ship the product;
• keep you informed about your order — confirmations, weaver introduction, progress photos, shipping, delivery, and refunds;
• provide customer support when you contact us;
• keep an audit trail of order activity so we can resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet recordkeeping obligations;
• improve the website and protect it from abuse.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing.

We use a small set of trusted vendors to actually run the site. Each receives only the information needed for its function and is bound by its own privacy obligations:

• Stripe — payment processing. Handles your card details directly. Subject to Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Supabase — our database, file storage, and authentication. Your order, address, and uploaded design files are stored here. Subject to Supabase’s privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery for order confirmations and status updates. Receives your email address and the message body. Subject to Resend’s privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Vercel — site hosting and delivery. Records standard request logs. Subject to Vercel’s privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Designer Rug House is operated from Canada. Our service providers are based in the United States and handle data internationally. By placing an order, you agree that your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required by law, our providers maintain standard contractual safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Order records are kept for as long as needed to support the order itself, then for a reasonable period afterward to handle refunds, warranty questions, accounting, and legal obligations.

Custom-order design files are kept while your order is in production and for a short period after delivery so the audit trail is complete. We may then archive them locally and remove them from server storage to free space; an order’s tracking page continues to show a delivered-and-archived stub with no sensitive content.

You can ask us to delete information we hold about you at any time, subject to records we’re required to keep by law.

You have the right to ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, correct anything that’s inaccurate, or delete it where applicable. Email designerhouseandcrafts@gmail.com with your request and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local data-protection law (for example, GDPR in the EU/UK, PIPEDA in Canada, the CCPA in California). We’re happy to honour those requests when you let us know they apply.

We use the smallest set of first-party cookies and browser storage needed to make the site work:

• Session cookies — set only while an admin is signed in to manage orders. None are set for ordinary customers.
• Local storage — your cart is stored in your own browser so the items survive a page refresh. Nothing in the cart leaves your device until you proceed to Stripe Checkout.
• Stripe Checkout — when you pay, Stripe’s hosted page may set cookies it needs to process the transaction. Those cookies are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.

We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking scripts.

Designer Rug House is not directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll remove it.

We may update this policy as the business evolves or the law requires. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
